2. TELEMETRY, DATA ACQUISITION & INFRASTRUCTURE To execute infrastructure deployment, technical auditing, and secure website hosting, we collect strictly necessary data from the following sources:

  • Commercial Contact Data: Name, corporate email, phone, and billing/deployment addresses provided directly by you.

  • Technical Intake (Jotform): Proprietary environmental parameters, thermal constraints, VRAM requirements, and workload specifications submitted for the Certified Fit Audit.

  • Financial Data: BACS transaction records, VAT details, and compliance data required for invoicing.

  • Platform Telemetry (Shopify): Our website is hosted on Shopify. When you navigate the site, Shopify automatically collects device information, browser type, network connection details, and IP addresses via cookies to ensure site security and functionality.

3. LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING We process data under Contractual Necessity and Legal Obligation to:

  • Validate hardware compatibility via the Certified Fit Audit.

  • Provide the Technical Utility Statement for client R&D tax compliance.

  • Deploy high-value hardware via Insured Commercial Freight.

  • Comply with HMRC Making Tax Digital (MTD) mandates via QuickBooks.

4. DATA SILOING & THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE Alon Nodes is an infrastructure vendor, not a data broker. Your technical parameters and contact details will never be sold, leased, or used for external consumer retargeting. Data is shared only with mission-critical partners required to fulfill our contract:

  • Shopify: To host our digital storefront and process secure platform telemetry. (You can view Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy at https://privacy.shopify.com/en).

  • Commercial Freight Networks: Specifically for the secure deployment of your hardware.

  • QuickBooks/Banking Partners: For MTD and BACS transaction compliance.

  • HMRC/Legal Counsel: Where statutory duty dictates.

5. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY

  • Technical Data: Retained for the duration of your hardware deployment and warranty period to assist with rapid remote diagnostics and technical support.

  • Financial Data: Retained for the statutory 6-year period required by UK tax law.

  • Security: While our hosting platform (Shopify) and intake portal (Jotform) utilize enterprise-grade encryption, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We mandate that you do not submit sensitive proprietary code or model weights through our forms.

6. YOUR UK GDPR STATUTORY RIGHTS Under UK data protection law, you hold the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

  • Right to Delete / Erasure: Request the deletion of non-statutory data.

  • Right to Correct: Mandate corrections to inaccurate records.
